FCV Sweden Named “Hejare of the Year 2024” (Årets Hejare) – A great honor and an even greater inspiration!
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with you: FCV Sweden has been named Hejare of the Year 2024 by the organization Hej Främling! This is an incredible honor that we accept with both pride and humility.
Recognition for our work with youth in social exclusion
On World Hej Day, we received this prestigious award for our efforts in supporting young adults who have fallen outside the education system and labor market. Our innovative methods to restore hope in these young individuals, along with our strong results, have been recognized.
The jury highlighted this in their statement:
“FCV is awarded the Hejare of the Year 2024 prize for its work in helping more young people enter the workforce by bringing joy to learning and demonstrating the power of community. FCV Sweden reaches a group that others overlook, helps individuals break negative patterns, and encourages more people to say hello and talk to one another. With its ability to collaborate with both the public and private sectors, FCV Sweden creates agile solutions that drive real change for young people.”
Hard work and strong competition
What makes this award even more special is that we received it in fierce competition with many other important and inspiring initiatives across the country. Anna Rex, Chair of Hej Främling! and jury leader, shares:
“We received around 80 nominations, and selecting a winner was a challenging task for the jury. It has been truly heartwarming to see how many initiatives across the country are making the world a better place. FCV Sweden is a truly deserving winner in an exceptionally strong field,” she says.
A custom-designed trophy from Storsjöhyttan
In addition to the great honor, the award also includes prize money, coaching for our continued development journey, and a beautifully crafted, custom-designed trophy created by Storsjöhyttan.
The trophy is shaped like a brick—a symbol of all the important initiatives that lay the foundation for a cohesive society. The more of us working together, the stronger a society we can build. How amazing is that?
